ELKA'S US HISTORY FINAL PROJECT

As Elka finished out her freshman year of high school, I assigned her a special final project I knew would be right up her alley....a play depicting any section of US History she would like to portray with her siblings as the cast.

(Brodie on sound...good brother)

To say her final project BLEW US AWAY would be an understatement!

From the costuming...

To the lines...

To the depictions of the various nationalities that make up our nation...

Along with her thoughtfully researched narration...

It was a MASTERPIECE!

Of course we cried through the whole thing, enjoying every second!

Oh my goodness, Elka Sue, you really outdid yourself creating this "dream come true" as you called it.

You're an amazing young lady with many talents.

But what shines the most from your bright and beautiful heart....

Is the way you love on other people.

You make everyone feel special.

And so, people love you.

And you love people.

Your dad and I are extremely proud of you!!

What an amazing US History final project you put together and what an incredible person you are!

"Love one another as I have loved you."
John 15:12

What better way to celebrate the last day of school?!

"Whatever you do, work heartily..."

DOG TRAINING 101

He's always busily at work...dog training.

I'm so thankful homeschooling has allowed Brodie the time to invest in so many unique and challenging interests.

He kinda loves his dogs.

"And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due time we will reap, if we do not give up."
Galatians 6:9

ENCOURAGE ONE ANOTHER

Such a sweet opportunity the kids had today to encourage some of our elderly church family members.

I can't think of a better way to spend a rainy homeschool day.

"Encourage one another and build one another up."
1 Thessalonians 5:11

For the girl who loves nature!

READERS

They're all so different.

An excellent reason to be thankful for the gift of homeschool.

"Let the wise hear and increase in learning."
Proverbs 1:5

DRONE TEST

One of the cool things about homeschooling is the ability to focus on specific areas of interest as the kids get older and explore God's will for their futures. For Brodie, one of those interests has become drone flying and video production. It's been really neat to see him make the time and have the time to be dedicated to studying for his commercial drone pilot's test and today was the big day!

He passed!

Dad too!

I'm thankful to the Lord that their hard work and studying paid off and they both received their FAA remote pilot's licenses. We will see how God leads Brodie to utilize his talents and skill set using his drone and creativity moving forward. But for now, it's been extremely rewarding just to see him be so diligent and gain the reward for a job well done!

Congratulations guys! You earned it!!

"The work of a man's hand comes back to him."

SOME HOMESCHOOL DAYS...

We do other things...

'Cause that's just what's needed...

Some days.

"But he gives more grace."
